Due to the immense liability involved with public transport, each moving part must undergo stringent testing and examination. It is essential to determine if all engineered components are safe and functional under heavy and constant strain.
TRJ Engineering designed and manufactured this train door test rig in order to provide an accurate a fire rating for each set of train doors.
Knorr-Bremse, the manufacturer of Melbourne’s Metro trains, were extremely pleased with the result.
The rig allows them to accurately test each train door to compliance with requisite public standards.
